The Kigezi Anthem
Composed & Arranged by Honourable Amama Mbabazi • Performed by Kanungu Cultural Choral Ensemble
Lyrics
Land of rolling misty hills and terrace soil so grand, where strength and Bakiga spirit reign across our fertile land. From Kabale heights to Bwindi forest evergreen and tall, we stand united in our faith and answer freedom's call.
With hardworking hands and living heritage we honor our past, carrying legacy forward with bonds forged strong to last. Through music, rhythm, drumbeat, and unity so bright, Kigezi shines eternal as our beacon and our light.
Chorus: Kigezi arise, home of courage, wisdom, and grace! Let our songs resound with dignity across this sacred place.
Chorus
Coda: Forever proud, forever strong, Kigezi our home where we belong.
